Ours and Nara Baby, compared honestly

Both are calm, ad-free baby trackers for the whole family. The biggest difference now is the price of logging: Ours is free to keep logging, and Nara needs a subscription after a 7-day trial.

Choose Ours if

  • You want to keep logging without a subscription
  • A grandparent or nanny helps, and you want their day back in a hand-back
  • You'd like checkups, shots and growth in the same app
  • You're up in the night and want a screen that stays out of your way

Choose Nara if

  • You log mostly from an Apple Watch today
  • You'd rather pay once for the lifetime plan than switch apps

Questions parents ask

Is Nara Baby still free?

Not beyond a 7-day trial, according to Nara's FAQ. After that you need a monthly subscription or the lifetime plan to add entries; without one, the app is read-only but you can still view and export your log.

Which is better for two parents?

Both let you share with a partner and caregivers. Ours does it free; Nara includes it in the subscription.

Should I switch if I already paid for Nara's lifetime plan?

Probably not just for the price. Switch if you want something Ours does differently, like the health record, hand-backs or the night mode, and bring your history with you.
