Switching from Nara Baby

The free Nara Baby alternative that brings your whole history

Nara now asks families to subscribe to keep adding entries. Ours is free to keep logging, for everyone who helps, and your Nara history comes with you in two taps.

iPhone and Android. No ads, ever.

Ours History showing a day imported from Nara

Switch in three steps

1

Save your history from Nara

Use the free photo helper to save your whole history, photos included, in one file. Nara's own Export Data, a spreadsheet, works too. Nara's FAQ says Export Data still works even if you haven't subscribed.

2

Open it in Ours

Choose Ours when your phone asks where to send it, or open the file from Ours under Bring your Nara history. You see a preview before anything is saved.

3

Keep logging

Every feed, nap and diaper is there, with its time, notes and who logged it. Then Ours shows you a few things from your own history you never knew.

Familiar where it counts

If you're used to Nara, you'll feel at home. The day is grouped by kind, the timers work the way you expect, and everyone in the family sees the same log.

  • Breastfeeding with both sides timed, bottles, combo feeds, solids and pumping
  • Diapers with colour and texture, sleep, medicine, temperature and growth
  • Unlimited parents, grandparents and caregivers, free
  • Twins, side by side or one at a time
  • Works with no signal

A few things Ours does differently

Made for the night

Night mode in four calm colours, including true black, and one step dimmer between midnight and 5 am.

The story writes itself

Weekly stories from your own log, and milestones like the 1,000th diaper, drawn from every one of them.

Ready for every checkup

Appointments, questions to ask, shots, growth on the WHO charts, and a one-page summary for the doctor.

Hand-backs that tell you

When the nanny hands back, the whole day comes too: naps, feeds, diapers and a note.

A reminder if you forget

If a side has been running much longer than usual, Ours asks if you're still feeding and stops it at the right time.

Your words stay yours

No ads, ever. Your family's log is never sold. Export or delete everything, any time.

Where Nara is still a good choice

To be fair: Nara has an Apple Watch app today (ours is coming soon), and if you'd rather pay once than switch, Nara sells a lifetime plan. If neither matters to you, Ours keeps logging free. See the full comparison.

Questions parents ask

Is Ours free?

Yes. Logging is free for as long as you log, for every parent, grandparent and caregiver you invite. There are no ads. Optional extras like supporter plans and a printed book are for later, and logging never depends on them.

Will my Nara history come over?

Yes. Export your log from Nara (tap your baby's picture, then Export Data) and open the file in Ours. Feeds, pumping, sleep, diapers, growth, notes and who logged each entry come over, with their times. Photos too, with the free photo helper.

Can I still export from Nara if I don't subscribe?

According to Nara's FAQ, yes: without a subscription the app is read-only, but you can still view and export what you logged. Export soon anyway, while you remember.

Can my partner and our nanny use it too?

Yes. Invite as many people as you like. Parents see everything; family and caregivers see what you choose, and a caregiver's day comes back to you when they hand over.

Is there an Apple Watch app?

Not yet. It's in testing and coming soon. Nara has one today, so if the watch is the thing you use most, that's worth knowing.

Does it work on Android?

Yes, on iPhone and Android, and a family can mix both.

What happens to my data?

Your log is never sold or used for ads. It works with no signal and catches up when you're back online. You can export everything as a PDF or a spreadsheet, or delete it all, any time.
